The Role:

Reporting to the VP, Business Performance, you will play a key role in turning data into insights. If you are passionate about data, and the power of data driven decision making, the opportunities are endless. The Senior Power BI Developer will connect to a range of data sources to model and visualize data for business stakeholders in sales, logistics and distribution.

Your responsibilities

• Working close with business leaders to capture their requirements and turn them into engaging visuals in Power BI
• Develop Power BI reports and dashboards at an outstanding quality
• Help and teach junior colleagues regarding to Power BI tasks
• Create a high-quality data structure and data model
• Work closely with data warehousing team to leverage existing datasets
• Ingesting data from a variety of corporate data sources and performing required transformations in the Power BI query editor
• Maintain an internal standard for visualization best practices
• Developing calculations in DAX which are accurate and performant on large datasets
• Undertaking data analyses to support decision making
• Auditing data to ensure data integrity and accuracy
• Develop user manual / training documentation

Qualifications

• Experience using advanced visualization features within Power BI: Power BI Embedded Analytics, composite models, Apps, Dashboards, Reports, Tiles, etc.
• Data Modelling
• Experience with Azure could platform, SQL Server & Snowflake
• Advanced Excel Skills beneficial
• Competent in developing engaging and effective data visualisations
• Up to date knowledge of latest Power BI features and functionality
• Strong data analysis skills
• Proficient in writing SQL, DAX, and M
• Knowledge of SSAS (Tabular and Multi-dimensional) , Flow and Power Apps beneficial
• Self-starter/able to work independently
• Ability to organise and manage own time according to agreed project priorities and deadlines
• 3+ years experience with PowerBI
